Day 5 and 6

Have just installed blogger app on my phone... Now I can blog on the move! Wow! Did a 30 minute training session on the treadmill today followed by some strengthening exercises for my ankle. Topped it of with a healthy omelette and salad. Felt so righteous when I asked the chef to only use half the amount oil!

Right so tomorrow I have friends coming for lunch... Will cook traditional SA food of curried butternut soup as a starter and bobotie for the main. Here's the start of the soup...

 
 
 
 
 





 
 
I'll finish the dishes tomorrow for lunch. The bobotie has been covered in foil and awaits the egg custard topping. The soup needs blending. You'll notice that neither is seeping oils and fats. I did use margarine, but limited to 50g in each dish. It may sound like a lot but considering that each will serve about 6 people that works out to about 18g of olive oil margarine per person for both dishes. The mince will obviously have its own fat but I did use low fat lean mince so ultimately neither dish is swimming in fat!
